Reclaim Your Power Stance

Ladies Adios wishes to tell you the story of how a single event can impact a movement, how adversity can set in motion an event to specifically support women, non-binary and all genders. In these new trying times, it is imperative to have more seminars about how identified social bodies interact, in dance gatherings, work environments, and with first time strangers.  At the time Artists in NYC/Jersey City had undergone a rude awakening, within our community a dance leader /teacher (remain nameless) had messages leaked revealing provocative content given to an underaged teen, and it created a big impact within the dance culture. From there countless women are now being proactive in groups sharing legalities and last resort options.

Unfortunately many victims come out too late, where aggressors have gotten away with or felt not worthy to speak up sooner and this is what we want to help avoid. Recently another incident has come forward, the young lady received backlash from the community. Educating human beings on healthy boundaries was a must! As well as sharing space with others to speak their mind. Ladies Adios have always been blessed to be a part of a collective of strong women who relentlessly works towards empowering women in Hip Hop! We wish to educate people to build a muscle within to create awareness, strength for vocal and physical communication, to prevent sexual harassment and unwanted objectification within our dance community. I wish to see the youth and people fully capable of communicating their boundaries in healthy ways, for the betterment of all humanity.
