An event to build community, growth, awareness, and culture.

A Jam Called Tribe (AJCT) is an event that honors giving back to the community and raising awareness for the world where needs are unmet and unrecognized. In 2017, AJCT was born, as a result of hurricane Urma’s tragic impacts in Puerto Rico and our friend, DJ Rogues Cancer treatment. Ladies Adios and members of our dance and local community came together to host a fundraiser relief event. During our first event we raised $2,000.00. Our event was a fun themed party, 1990’s, with fashion, performances, and music to follow suit. We had a best dressed competition, breaking battle, and freestyle cypher dance battle. Additionally, we had three DJ’s, one of our members, Goody Roc, performed stand up comedy, Brieski rapped original songs, dance performance by Stephy Styles, and Graffiti Artists sketch table. We’ve been throwing annual AJCT events, with different themes following elements of Hip Hop Culture, in 2018 and 2019 and now again in 2022.

In 2018 we raised $1,000.00 for the Humane Society No Kill Animal Shelter in West New York. Funds were used to buy food, toys and cleaning supplies for the dogs and cats. In 2019, we raised $1,200 for Domestic Violence prevention for CAMBA in NYC and an individual Women and her son who are immigrants and are making a new life for themselves in NYC.

We invite our community to support our causes and participate at this party. Through fashion, music, dance, and camaraderie you too can join the tribal movement.

This event is a safe space for LGBTQIA+ persons, performers, DJ’s, Graffiti Artists, fashion enthusiasts, MC’s, and Dancers. We couldn’t do it without our community and the venues and artists that contribute their space, energy, money, and time. Thank you!
